Fujifilm And Sprint Launch Photo Printing Service
By Ron Eggers
October 8, 2004 — Sprint and Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. recently introduced a new service that lets Sprint's Picture Mail customers send digital camera phone pictures from their online Picture Mail albums to a participating retail photofinisher, such as Ritz Camera, Sam's Club and Wolf Camera. The new online venture, which uses Fujifilm's "Get the Picture Online Service", also lets family and friends print photos they receive via email share.
The process is simple. Once a picture has been taken with a camera phone and uploaded to a Picture Mail online album (www.sprint.com/picturemail), it can be sent to a conveniently-located retail photofinishing shop, which will generate prints in just a few hours, depending on the retailer's service options. Picture Mail customers and those receiving an email share have the option of selecting a nearby photofinisher or one close to a friend or relative.
