Bango.net - Products & Services - Set It in Action

Users of the latest camera phones can now point-and-click to mobile content with the launch of technology from Bango.net. A Bango Spot is a circular symbol that holds data like a two dimensional bar code. Users simply point the camera phone at the symbol, click and a mobile Internet site opens on their phone in a matter of seconds, providing a fast and simple way to reach content such as ringtones, games, videos and pictures.

High Energy Magic have announced a public beta of software to let you use your camera-phone as a physical mouse by just pointing and clicking and rotating it in the air. Some very cool videos available: check out the volume control and flight booking ones in particular! The tags used are really robust - they did a wastebasket torture test for a bit of fun as well :-)"

www2004 Semantic Web Developer Day Agenda
Bibster: "We present the Bibster system [1], an application of the use of semantics in Peer-to-Peer systems. Bibster is aimed at researchers that share bibliographic metadata. Currently, many researchers in computer science keep lists of bibliographic metadata in BibTeX format, that they must laboriously maintain manually, for which they don't have an easy overview, and that has greatly varying quality. At the same time, many researchers are willing to share these resources, provided they do not have to invest work in doing so. "

Bibster
Bibster introduces a system which assists researchers in managing, searching, and sharing bibliographic data in a peer-to-peer network.

The advantage of the system is it provides the possibility to search on a distributed peer-to-peer network using Semantic Web technologies. It provides an easy way to share data with other researchers.

A possible inquiry could be: I am searching for topics about peer-to-peer technologies.
As a result Bibster returns bibliographic entries concerning peer-to-peer technologies.

Rosette Chinese Language Analysis
Rosette Chinese Language Analyzer (CLA) uses statistical-, rule-, and dictionary-based techniques for quickly determining the correct segmentation for Chinese text. Statistics including word frequency information, common sentence patterns, and constantly updated dictionaries each play a significant role in defining CLA’s remarkable accuracy.

Rosette Chinese Script Converter (CSC) solves the issues associated with the existence of the two Chinese scripts by applying linguistic techniques to determine the correct conversions between Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
